The closest airport is Grenoble, there is a regular shuttle (PRICE) after every flight, which takes you into Grenoble to the bus depot and onto Alpe d’Huez.

If you are looking for something more special, transfers can be organised by helicopter or light aircraft bringing you directly to the little Altiport here in Alpe’D’Huez. Prices range from 250 euros based on either 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children sharing.
Driving time from Calais around 8hrs 30mins (check out www.speedferries.com for great prices). The roads here are kept really very clear although it would be preferable to arrive during the daytime rather than late in the evening when the roads may be a little icy.
Cars can obviously be hired at all airports and train stations, we have found www.rentacar.fr to be very helpful and all cars are equipped with snow-chains. If you would like some help in reserving a car please do ask.
